Coffee & Conversations

COFFEE & CONVERSATIONS

New Orleans apparel brand Beignet Boys invited ambitious creatives to stop by and fuel their grind with a speciality coffee and beignet bar, activations throughout the space, exclusive Beignet Boys gear and an intimate conversation with a panel of entrepreneurs and cultural influencers. Catering to millennial men and women (age 22-37 in 2019), the event provided a culturally educational experience that doubled as a content house and a vehicle for influencer endorsement.

Sold exclusively at lifestyle boutique FOSTER, the event increased engagement for the store by 500% and the brand by 230% in 48 hours. Tickets to the event sold out within two days of the release and our custom apparel was sold out within the hour.

Knowing that the store wanted to build community and increase awareness, I pitched the idea and managed the event through to execution, leading creative direction for the experience and the merchandise. I carefully sourced influential panelists from New Orleans that represented our target audience and scripted the panel questions to capture content that could be repurposed and shared with a larger audience to continue the value of the experience beyond the event itself.

THE AUDIENCE:

Deemed the “entrepreneur generation”, millennials (age 22-37 in 2018) are accustomed to living life on their own terms. With an abundance of freedom and personal choice at their fingertips, the work they choose to do, the brands they choose to wear, and the events they attend - all serve to tell a story about who they are.

BEIGNET BOYS COFFEE HOUSE:

For those unrestricted by a physical office space and the traditional 9-5, coffee shops are a common hub to focus, connect, refuel and pull energy from the community around you. We transformed Foster into a coffee shop-streetwear boutique hybrid with a full espresso bar, including two specialty coffee-cocktails sponsored by Deep Eddy Vodka and beignets from the renowned Cafe du Monde.

THE JOURNEY IS PERSONAL, BUT IT’S BETTER TOGETHER:

Taking the path less defined is guaranteed to come with risks, failures and doubt, but building a network of peers and mentors to tap into along the way makes us all stronger.

The city of New Orleans is overflowing with creative spirit. We brought together a panel of local entrepreneurs and influencers for an organic conversation around overcoming obstacles and fueling success, providing a culturally educational experience that doubled as a content house and vehicle for influencer endorsement.

Our partners at Microsoft raffled off a Surface Pro Tablet to one lucky attendee and our friends at the New Orleans Pelicans / Saints organization gifted tickets for a night of networking at a Pelicans game.
